VISITING CHEDDAR
YHA Cheddar works well as a base for groups who want more than somewhere to sleep. The hostel is close to Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills, with walking, cycling and outdoor adventure nearby.
Groups can also add on instructor-led activities with Mendip Adventure. Depending on your group, dates and aims, activity options may include outdoor sessions such as climbing, caving, kayaking and hiking.
Outdoor activities with Mendip
We can help groups turn a stay at YHA Cheddar into a full residential or activity break with activities and catering available. This is especially useful for schools, youth groups and families who want a planned programme rather than having to organise every detail themselves.
Exploring Cheddar
Cheddar is a strong destination for groups because it combines dramatic scenery, village facilities and easy access to outdoor spaces. From the world-famous Cheddar Gorge and Caves to the amazing Somerset Levels, and the Mendip Hills National Landscape, YHA Cheddar puts your group close to the landscape that makes the area special.
