New Target Sport Ranges Open

This Easter weekend saw our brand new Air Rifle and Archery target sport ranges open after months of hard work by the Mendip team!

We are extremely grateful for the support of North Somerset's Rural Prosperity Fund which partially funded the ranges.

A group of people watch an instructor show them the basics of using an air rifle.
The ranges are covered meaning that future visitors will be protected from any rain showers and shaded from the sun in the summer months.

A young person pulls back the string on her bow as she takes aim down range.
The ranges have been built with accessibility in mind meaning that the ranges can be accessed by those with any additional physical and learning requirements.

An air rifle participant in a pink hoody and clear safety glasses proudly shows off her target after an air rifle session.
Target sports create a real sense of achievement.

A young person looks through the scope of an air rifle. She is wearing safety glasses and has one eye closed as she looks down the scope.
State-of-the art air rifles and scopes are great for improving concentration and focus.

Two adults stand under a covered area. One is showing the other how to load a bow properly with an arrow.
David Eddins, Managing Director at Mendip Activity Centre, shows John Penrose, local MP, the new ranges.
