SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING

Our floodlit 165-metre artificial dry ski slope is open year-round, no matter the weather for beginners eager to try something new or experienced enthusiasts looking to keep their skiing and snowboarding sharp.

Have you always wanted to try skiing? The ski slope at Mendip is the perfect place to start.
Are you heading on your first skiing holiday? Make the most of your time by picking up the basic skills before you go.
Start with a 'Try Skiing' session, a fun 90-minute introduction for complete beginners. We'll cover everything from safety, moving on the slope and then gentle skiing at the bottom of the slope. Complete our course and by the end you'll be able to competently turn, stop, use a lift and control your speed.
Our learn-to-ski packages are suitable for anyone age 8+. We also offer private lessons for ages 8+ and minis group and private lessons for ages 5 to 8.

Our snowboard lessons are suitable for anyone age 8+, over 120cm tall with at least size 2 feet.
Heading abroad on your first snowboard trip? Master the art of snowboarding with our Try Snowboarding sessions.
Snowboarders get their very own beginner area on the slope before learning to use the lift and nailing "heel edge" and "toe edge".
Complete our course of lessons to become a confident boarder. By the end, you'll be able to snowboard in control, control your speed, stop and use a lift.
MENDIP SKI CLUB
Mendip Ski Club is an informal ski club for recreational skiers. Whether you have just completed our Learn to Ski Course or you are an experienced skier, this is for you. It is the ideal way to continue developing your skills!
Thursday evenings:
Youth Session (ages 5 to 16) 6.30pm to 8pm
Adult Session (ages 14+) 8pm to 9.30pm
SKI OR BOARD WITH AN INSTRUCTOR
A recreational Ski or Board session alongside one of our qualified instructors. These sessions are a little more informal than our course of lessons.
Your instructor will ski or board with you and be on hand to provide advice, pointers, demos and tips. This is a great session for a refresher ahead of a Ski holiday or for someone looking for consistent improvement.
SLOPE PASSES
Passes for anyone who is able to already ski or snowboard- we call this recreational standard.
Book a slope pass at a time to suit you and practise on our slope. Book in advance to ensure our slope will be open and ready for use!
